From
Robbing Banks to Giving Thanks
From Robbing Banks to
giving thanks, the man known as (The Street Doctor)
to many has come a long way. Eight years after his
release from prison he has defied social
psychoanalysts, criminal analyst and authorities in
the correctional system with his determination not
only to turn his life around, but his ability to
reform those around him and those he comes in
contact with. A modern day pied piper he is
astounding students and teachers with his teaching
ability. A man with so much energy it is impossible
to predict where he will pop up next. Civic
functions, shelters, courtrooms, schools, hospitals
visiting the sick and the elderly when he isn’t
feeding the poor and needy. He is a man who will
take the coat off his back and give it to someone
less fortunate. The Street Doctor just might have
the solution to the Penal Systems concern about
repeat offenders and its revolving door, unable to
reform or rehabilitate many. This is a man who was
sentenced to 150 years and spent 17 years behind the
prison walls yet with others who have served time
for robbery, assault, Drug Distribution etc., they
are doing great things in the community.
Shunned by many
because of his up in your face attitude, he is
persistent and determined to prove to society that
ex-offenders can be reformed and rehabilitated like
him. He calls them his Street Warriors, men of great
talent who are leaders in their own right.
